HOT TUB OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS
Before use
Use of the hot tub requires advance booking and confirmation. The property manager normally lights the wood-burning stove. Guests may light it only with prior permission and individual instructions. Do not operate unfamiliar controls.
Check the equipment
Before entering, check that the water looks clean and the water level is adequate. If the level appears low, do not light the stove or add wood; contact the property manager. Do not drain the tub yourself.
Wood-fired heating
Add wood only after receiving instructions and in accordance with the property manager’s guidance. Do not use liquid fire starters, fuels or waste. Do not touch hot parts of the stove or flue. Never pour water onto the stove. Do not leave a burning stove unattended.
Water temperature
Check the water temperature before bathing; do not enter if it exceeds 40°C (104°F). If the water is too hot, stay out and contact the property manager. The temperature may continue to rise while the stove is heating.
Bathing
Shower before entering. Use caution on wet, slippery steps. Do not jump or submerge your head. Children require continuous, direct adult supervision. Do not use the tub under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and never fall asleep in the water. Leave immediately if you feel unwell.
Air jets and lighting
Use only the functions demonstrated by the property manager. Do not tamper with electrical equipment, cables or jets. Do not operate functions when the water level is too low.
After use
Switch off air jets and lighting. The cover may also be closed while the water is heating. Position and secure it as demonstrated by the property manager; check the water temperature regularly during heating. Do not drain the tub, clean filters or add chemicals.
Faults and emergencies
